Decorative Flower Vases

All our vases in our home have been playfully broken by our mischieveous cats.  The other evening I came across Gardenmama's beautiful post on how she made these pretty decorative vases.

We found some empty jars from our kitchen closet.  Our craft closet stores many colors of tissue paper because it's what we usually use to wrap gifts for our children or their friends.     I added a little water to the liquid white glue so it wasn't too thick, lightly spread it on the glass jar and gently added the colorful tissue paper.

A shading Fiji Fan Palm drops it's seeds for the children to use creatively.  Sasha loves to add his own very special touch.

Admiring it's beauty....

We threaded soft, decorative grass through the shells and tied it around the rim of the glass jars.  A touch of summer!

The colorful vases become a beautiful accent to our dining table where we share all our meals together as a family.

Enjoying a healthy bedtime snack by candlelight illuminated by some of the colorful jars, sets the mood for a peaceful sleep.
