  5. So happy to see you with your beautiful horses! Ours have new friends staying with them for the winter, Sage is happy to have a boy to play with, he is such a sweetheart.

Yes, the girls did stay up until midnight on new years eve, but they didn't really seem too thrilled about it..

I shared your email with Jason the other day, so nice to hear from you, I look forward to writing back soon.

    Lots of love to all!

  7. Living life peacefully, actively, harmoniously, recognising beauty, friendships with plant, man, animal, celebrating - that is a beautiful, loved life, dear friend.
Those white littles are beetle larva. Don't know what sort of beetles you get there but probably some sort of biggish black beetle.
Have a good day and blessings for a wonderful year ahead.

  11. What a wonderful evening you all had. I especially love the picture of Sasha doing his new year's eve dance-of-the-peaceful-warrior around the fire! And oh, your horses are beautiful. It's so lovely to see some pictures of you too :)

  12. What an amazing blog! Thx for the follow! Those lighted boats are such a neat idea. For winter solstice, we used lemon halves and orange halves as floating candle holders. Super cool affects!

  13. If I had any doubts about the sweetness of your soul (and i don't have a single one), they would all be allayed by the shots of the horses. Their spirits are soft with you, with all of you. But notably, the peace in their proximity to you, and the gentility in every line of your body near them tells me so much. The boats make magic. The flames are elemental. I could feel the warmth on the boys' faces. Thank you for showing me these things. And for the rolling hills. My heart - the rolling hills.

  15. Happy New Year to you all too! I loved all these photos. The Bonfire looked a huge hit as did the little boats :-) Your horses are lovely as ever....such gentle souls. Is that a grub of a Rhinocerous beetle?? We get them here as well, the boys love them!

  17. Hi, Jeanene!

What a beautiful blog. And wow... what a wonderful experience your children are receiving here in the DR.

I've been trying to send you an email, but it keeps coming back to me. Could you please send me your address once again? (I met you when you came to our table at the Christmas Fair - 3 Mariposas Montessori)

    Thanks so much,

    Sarah
