After France....California

Four months in France was a nice change for us but we soon felt it was not the place for us to call home.

Morro Bay, California

Golden California was calling us...

We were looking for a drier climate for ourselves and our horses after a sometimes overbearing hot and humid climate of the Dominican Republic.

Canoeing to the Sand Dunes

We are renting a little house on the bay facing Morro Bay and its famous rock.  It is a little cold due to the Pacific influence but it is temporary until we move onto our new farm. After months of searching, we might have finally found it.

Sailing their boat in the Bay

The boys love to sail their boats in the bay.  Sania has a keen interest in making boats, he has made a few which I will post soon.

Dylan Snuggling with Papa

Our morning walks to get the twins sleepy for their nap time.

Sunny Day at Avila Beach

Spring is here and we are enjoying some sunny beach days in a nearby cove called Avila Beach.

Time has gone speedily by and my precious twins are almost 11 months.

  1. It is so hard to believe that your babies are almost a year old!! How does the time go? Time is a cruel thing indeed. When I want it to go slow it flies and when I want it to go fast it sludges along tauntingly.

I'm so excited that you have hopefully found a home! I can't tell you how much I enjoy your photos seeing how you nurture your family and seeing the creativity and imaginations of your boys.

  2. Hi Jeanene,
I wonder recently how it goes for you and your nice family when i see a mail of you on Martha Johnson's Yahoo Group ! So you left France ! I 'm a little sad for we can't meet us, but i'm happy for you because the most important is to find our home sweet home :-D
Your twins are beautiful ; mines are almost 9yo, time goes very fast :-s
    Warmly
    Monique from France :-)

  3. How nice to read from you and your big move once again. Happy to hear you are well and probably have found the right farm.

  4. Ach - I am so behind in learning what is going on in the lives of my loved ones. How do you do this? How do you travel so far, in terms of space, but also in terms of culture?? And carry horses with you? Which ones did you take from the island? How did you get them to France, and how on earth would you get them all the way back to California? I am yearning to hear about the farm and to see the boats. My favorite place for boats is just outside the Louvre in that fountain -

The twins are huge. And you and Fabian - still beautiful. The world seems so small for you - you could walk across it in an instant. Je ne comprend pas - je suis trop - gravity-bound.
